Connie Giles received a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia in 1977, and a Masters in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley in 1987. Her professional experience includes 10 years of internship in Denver and San Francisco prior to licensing. In 1990, she re-located to Telluride and established the firm later that year. Her goal was to offer contemporary architecture that would complement and help sustain the traditional historical character of the town and surrounding region.

The firm's projects in Telluride have been focused on custom single family residences - both new construction and remodels - but also include private and government office spaces, a restaurant, condominium interiors, and a bookbinding studio.
